Bokio is now ready for MTD!
We are thrilled to announce that Bokio is compliant for Making Tax Digital for VAT. You will now find Bokio registered in HMRC list of MTD-compatible softwares.
Right on time for MTD coming in to force on April 1st. It may seem like we have been granted access to HMRC close to the deadline, but we would like to reassure our users that Bokio has been waiting for the confirmation of HMRC for a little while.
In the meantime we have been thoroughly testing and improving Bokio's MTD feature to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for companies.
What does it mean?
Starting on April 1st, VAT registered businesses with a turnover above the £85,000 threshold will be able to keep records and submit VAT returns digitally to HMRC using Bokio as their compatible software.

- Make sure you have created an account in Bokio.
- You must sign up for MTD for VAT at HMRC, and choose Bokio as your compatible software
- Then collect your VAT reports from the HMRC
- Finally, submit your VAT to the HMRC in just a few clicks
